These terms govern your use of the Monuments app. By downloading or using the app, you accept these terms.

1. Using the app

Monuments is an informational and cultural app with a catalogue of historic heritage. You agree to use it lawfully and not to take actions that compromise the security or availability of the service.

2. Account

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Account > Delete account.

3. Premium subscription

The Premium subscription is available as monthly and annual auto-renewing plans. The price and period of each plan are shown before purchase.

• Payment: you are charged on your Apple account (App Store) or Google account (Google Play) when you confirm the purchase.
• Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The store may charge the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancellation: you can cancel at any time in your Apple account settings or in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Premium access remains until the end of the period already paid.
• Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
• Restore purchases: if you reinstall the app or change devices, use Restore purchase on the Premium screen.

4. Your content

The notes and photos you add remain yours. You only allow us to store and sync them with your account to provide the service. You must not upload unlawful content or content that infringes the rights of others.

5. Intellectual property

The app, interface, brand, and catalogue compilation belong to Carlos Caleco. Monument photos come from open sources such as Wikimedia Commons under the applicable Creative Commons licences, credited to their authors.

6. Warranties and liability

The app is provided as is. We try to keep information, coordinates, and opening hours accurate, but we do not guarantee they are error-free and are not responsible for changes on site. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

7. Store terms

On iPhone, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies. On Android, purchases are subject to the Google Play Terms of Service (https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/).

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
